Stichting Nederlanders Buiten Nederland (SNBN) was established in 2019. The main goal is to look after the interests of Dutch citizens abroad in the best and most effective way possible.

¿What does SNBN Peru mean?

We, Dick Blom and Mark Helmink, represent the regional focal point of SNBN in Peru. Our main task is to map the difficulties that a Dutch citizen can go through when being in a foreign country like Peru. We deal with different issues. For example in the field of nationality, pension, Dutch education, passports and participation in elections, and Brexit. The SNBN wants to work together to improve that.

We see good contacts with Dutch politicians, as the best way to protect the interests of Dutch people abroad. For politicians, we are a resource and point of contact, for the Dutch outside the Netherlands we are the bridge to participation in politics in the Hague.

SNBN Peru frequently sends out a newsletter with important news and developments for the Dutch living in Peru. Besides, we listen to all the comments and experiences that a Dutch person encounters outside the Netherlands, in this case, in Peru.

It should be noted that the issues that are discussed with representatives over the world SNBN must be relevant to the Netherlands. SNBN does not deal with issues related to institutions in Peru.
